Our 3 Stage Diagnosis Process

We endeavour to diagnose and fix any electrical problem with any car. To ensure this we have a strict 3 stage process that ensures accurate and guaranteed results and 90% of cars are fixed at stage 2

Stage 1 - Price £39.00 + VAT

At this stage we carry out a diagnostic test by plugging your car into our computer and interrogate your cars main control unit checking for any fault codes and any out of place readings in live data. A print out is taken. We can then either make an accurate diagnosis using the data collected or if that is not possible we will carry on to stage 2.

Stage 2 - Price £60.00 + VAT

At this stage we look a bit deeper by checking various engine sensors and actuators looking for any defects etc. We will look at electrical connectors and wiring to make sure there are no defects. Earthing points are checked and cleaned if necessary. We will check that there are no air leaks into the intake system and also clean the throttle housing of any carbon deposits. We take a look at how the car is fuelling. Engine servicing items like spark plugs, filters and oil condition are checked to make sure they are good enough or require changing. A road test of the car is essential at this stage to try and see the fault being experienced. 90% of faults are diagnosed or repaired at this stage making it an essential stage which cannot be missed.

Stage 3 - Price from £60.00 +VAT

If stage 2 is not successful then control unit pin data is needed to be checked making sure the right inputs and outputs to and from the control unit are present and correct. We need to see the correct supply voltages and earths. Continuity checks are carried out to rule out any wiring defects. This stage is only carried out providing the correct data for the control unit is available. A more in depth look at electrical components using an oscilloscope is carried out allowing a more accurate decision to be made.
